Can a native speaker of English check structure and grammar of the sentences, thanks?

Today there was something wrong with my computer monitor, so I asked a maintenance worker to mend it, to my surprise the mouse refused to work, so I had to replace it with a new one. However, it didn't fit my hand at all. I still prefer the former one. I would spend a long time on computer everyday, both for work and fun, and I have been living like this for many years. I have used two computers, which were both bought by my mother. I hope to buy a new one with my own wage.
