Lost My True Love and dont know what to do.?

I met my true love 10 years ago but I had my sights set to more material pursuits which is why I ended up married to someone with more fame and fortune. And now My life is the way I have always dreamed!!! we also have a beautiful baby girl, But I know I am not with my true love yet I always think of him. He is also married now and he despises me for leaving under those shallow reasons which I understand I even slept with one of his friends to trey make him forget about me, but it seems there is nothing I can do. This is the life i want, I just wish it was him that was in it. It seems none of it matters now and all is lost. How could I make am-mends?
